General
Risk assessment to be made and regularly reviewed for activities taking place on the premises.
The prevention of crime and disorder
The customer area is entirely visible from behind the counter and therefore it is easy to monitor/supervise. Risk assessments will be carried out on a regular basis.
Premises would need clear signage to state, alcohol only available with food deliveries.
No over the counter sales of alcohol.
CCTV inside premises to promote licensing objectives.
Public Safety
Customers are not permitted to consume food on the premises and are asked to leave the area as soon as they have received their food, thus negating any crowding issues. Risk assessment to be reviewed to ensure no risk of over crowding. Fire fighting equipment maintained and inspected annually. Should the premises reach peak occupancy then the most senior member of staff will be responsible for maintaining order and safety using discretion and common sense when considering appropriate action to reduce the risk of public safety issues. (In accordance with the primary legislation risk assessments will be regularly made in relation to activities at the premises re Health & Safety and fire safety policy.
The prevention of public nuisance
Sufficient litter bins will be provided both inside and outside the premises. Any litter outside the premises at close of business which can be connected to the business will be collected and disposed of. Persons will be asked to leave the premises in a manner respectful of the neighbouring area. Taxi numbers will be displayed to allow for swift dispersal of persons outside the premises. The management will ensure that staff disposing of waste/cleaning up/closing up after the close of business will not cause any noise nuisance which could affect the local area.
There shall be provided at the premises containers for the storage and disposal of waste food and other refuse from the premises. Those containers shall be constructed, maintained and located/secured so that access to them by vermin and unauthorized persons is prevented and arrangements made for the regular disposal of their contents in accordance with the duty of care provisions (Section 34) of the Environmental Protection Act 1990.
Where the premises provide food to the public for consumption on or off the premises, there shall be provided outside the premises, at or near the exits, sufficient waste bins to enable the disposal of waste food, food containers, wrappings and other litter.
Where the premises provide food for consumption off the premises, the public area outside and adjacent to the premises shall be cleared of waste food, food containers, wrappings and other litter which originated from the premises.
The protection of children from harm
R U 21, No ID, no sale policy adopted. Persons placing orders for the delivery of alcohol will be made aware of the requirement for the production of ID during the initial telephone conversation. A refusals book will be maintained detailing addresses and persons placing orders which have subsequently been refused.
No accompanied children under the age of 16 should be served after 9:30pm.
