MANDATORY CONDITIONS
Mandatory condition: exhibition of films
(1) Where a premises licence authorises the exhibition of films, the licence must include a condition requiring the admission of children to the exhibition of any film to be restricted in accordance with this section.
(2) Where the film classification body is specified in the licence, unless subsection (3)(b) applies, admission of children must be restricted in accordance with any recommendation made by that body.
(3) Where -
(a) the film classification body is not specified in the licence, or
(b) the relevant licensing authority has notified the holder of the licence that this subsection applies to the film in question,
admission of children must be restricted in accordance with any recommendation made by that licensing authority.
(4) In this section -
“children” means persons aged under 18; and
“film classification body” means the person or persons designated as the authority under section 4 of the Video Recordings Act 1984 (c. 39) (authority to determine suitability of video works for classification).
Annex 2 - Conditions consistent with the Operating Schedule
General - all four licensing objectives
The principal or a responsible person nominated by him, to be present and in charge at all times. Adequate number of attendants to ensure public leave the premises safely. No more than the insured number of persons to be present at any performance and no alcohol to be sold.
The Prevention of Crime and Disorder
Adequate staff on duty to ensure that the public leave the building safely. CCTV cameras cover car park and the rest of site. Additional security guards will be on duty all evening to patrol car park and grounds during the performance.
Public Safety
Risk assessment to be completed. All exit doors clearly marked, maintained and accessible. No more than the insured number of persons to be present. Emergency lighting checked. Requisite number of first aiders on site. Minimum of 3 attendants in the auditorium. Security guard on site at all times.
The Prevention of Public Nuisance
No performance to run beyond 11 pm or on Sundays, Christmas Day or Good Friday. Security guards will patrol the site and car parking areas and attendants will ensure that local residents are not upset by visitors parking irresponsibly.
The Protection of Children from Harm
Any performance will be classified as suitable viewing by children. Adequate numbers of adult supervisors with DBS clearance will be present including first aiders. Child performers are under adult supervision at all times.
