ANNEX 2 - CONDITIONS CONSISTENT WITH THE OPERATING SCHEDULE
a) General
I will promote the four licensing objectives by ensuring robust security measures, maintaining public safety standards, minimising public nuisance, and protecting children through strict age verification and family-friendly policies.
I will have house rules set in place for all staff to adhere to as well as for customers
b) The prevention of crime and disorder
Install CCTV cameras covering key areas with recording capabilities, maintaining footage for a specified period.
Conduct regular training sessions for staff on identifying and handling potential criminal activity, conflict de-escalation, and reporting procedures.
Implement a zero-tolerance policy for drug use and distribution within the
premises.
Establish a communication protocol with local police for reporting incidents promptly.
c) Public safety
Ensure the premises complies with all fire safety regulations, including clearly marked exits and functioning alarms.
Regularly maintain and inspect all safety equipment, such as fire extinguishers and emergency lighting.
Monitor and control the number of customers to avoid overcrowding.
Train staff in first aid, including handling incidents of injury or illness on theĀ premises.
Conduct regular safety drills.
d) The prevention of public nuisance
Implement soundproofing measures and maintain appropriate noise levels, particularly during late hours.
Monitor noise levels outside the premises and take corrective action if necessary.
Provide adequate waste disposal facilities and ensure regular collection and disposal of litter.
Employ staff to manage and clean the exterior of the premises, especially after closing time.
Establish a communication line with local residents to address and resolve any concerns promptly.
Implement a dispersal policy to manage patrons leaving the premises quietly and respectfully.
e) The protection of children from harm
Train staff on acceptable forms of identification and the importance of age verification.
Designate certain areas of the premises as restricted to children, especially where hazardous equipment is stored.
Clearly mark these areas and enforce the restrictions strictly.
Develop and promote policies that ensure the premises remains family-friendly during appropriate hours.
Provide activities and amenities that cater to families, ensuring a safe and welcoming environment for children.
