Annex 2 - Conditions consistent with the Club operating Schedule
General - all four licensing objectives
Exterior lighting monitors arrivals and departures at the club main door. Club management, steward and bar staff are informed of the Licensing Act 2003 objectives and statutory requirements to comply with all relevant provisions of the act.
The prevention of crime and disorder
Club constitution includes rules governing the conduct of members and their guests within and adjacent to club premises. Admission to the club is confined to members and bona fide guests. Club employees are instructed not to admit or serve members and guests who behave in a drunk and disorderly fashion. Misconduct is reported to the committee to consider action under the clubs disciplinary code.
Public safety
The club complies with health and safety and fire precaution regulations. Following risk assessment preventive and control measures are in place to ensure the safety of members, guests, employees and entertainers while on the premises. Fire action notices are posted, emergency escape routes are signposted.
The prevention of public nuisance
The club is fully double glazed with double exit doors, with air conditioning, smoke extract and filtration. Hence there is no need to have any doors or windows open, preventing any noise nuisance. The club doesn’t take deliveries before 8am and after 7pm. All external lights are turned off at closing time. We have a designated taxi service giving preference to club members.
All external doors and windows shall be kept closed when entertainment is being provided, other than for access and egress and in the event of an emergency. If additional ventilation is subsequently necessary, then it shall be attenuated in accordance with a scheme submitted to the licensing authority.
The licence holder or his representative shall conduct regular assessments of the noise coming from the premises on every occasion the premises are used for regulated entertainment and shall take steps to reduce the level of noise where it is likely to cause a disturbance to local residents. A written record shall be made of those assessments in a log book kept for that purpose and shall include, the time and date of the checks, the person making them and the results including any remedial action.
There shall be placed at all exits from the premises in a place where they can be seen and easily read by the public, (or member and their guests) notices requiring customers to leave the premises and the area quietly. (Note, this may also include a reference to vehicles).
Disposal of waste bottles into external receptacles must not occur between 9.00 pm - 9.00 am.
The protection of children from harm
Young adults applying for membership are asked to bring valid proof of their age.
The cigarette machine has been placed by the bar and is strictly monitored by staff and committee members. Committee members, the club steward and other members of staff are instructed in the offence provisions of the licensing act 2003 relating to alcohol and protection of children.
All children under the age of 16 should be off the premises (i.e. the bar area) by 10:30pm at the very latest, save for private family functions held in a separate function room.
