Annex 2 - Conditions consistent with the Club operating Schedule
General
Diggle Band Club does not have any history of attracting crime, disorder or nuisance. The following objectives enhance existing arrangements. Anyone entering the club is in view of steward, bar staff and committee members’ present. The steward, bar staff and committee are aware of the Licensing Act 2003 objectives and statutory requirements to comply with the relevant provisions of the act.
The prevention of crime and disorder
Diggle Band Club has never attracted crime or disorder. There is always a committee member present when club opens. The club had adequate exterior lighting. The club rules govern the conduct of members and their guests within the club premises. Admission to the club is confined to members and bone fide guests. Club employees are instructed not to admit members and guests who behave in a drunk and disorderly manner, misconduct is reported to the committee for action under the club discipline code.
Public safety
The club complies with health & safety and fire precaution regulations. Following a risk assessment, preventative and control measures are in place to ensure the safety of members, guests, employees and entertainers whilst on the premises. The club complies with advised capacity limits. Fire action notices are posted, Fire extinguishers etc. are properly sited.
The prevention of public nuisance
Signage is displayed near exits requesting members and guests to respect the needs of local residents by quietly leaving the premises and car park. When live or recorded music is played all steps are taken to avoid disturbance to neighbouring properties. For members functions a guest list is required seven days prior to the event. The club has a policy of pre-booked taxis.
The licence holder or his representative shall conduct regular assessments of the noise coming from the premises on every occasion the premises are used for regulated entertainment and shall take steps to reduce the level of noise where it is likely to cause a disturbance to local residents. A written record shall be made of those assessments in a log book kept for that purpose and shall include, the time and date of the checks, the person making them and the results including any remedial action.
All external doors and windows shall be kept closed when entertainment is being provided, other than for access and egress and in the event of an emergency. If additional ventilation is subsequently necessary, then it shall be attenuated in accordance with a scheme submitted to the licensing authority.
The protection of children from harm
In the bar area children must be accompanied by an adult. Children under 14 years of age must leave the club by 9:30pm. They must be supervised at all times. No person under 18 years of age is served with alcohol, there are signs to this effect, ID required if there is any doubt. Committee members, steward and members of staff are instructed in the offence provisions of the Licensing Act 2003 relating to alcohol and the protection of children. Signage is posted at all bars prohibiting the direct or indirect supply or delivery of alcohol to children.
Annex 4 - Embedded Conditions
Alcohol shall not be sold or supplied except during permitted hours.
In this condition, permitted hours means:
Club premises
f. On New Year’s Eve from the end of permitted hours on New Year’s Eve to the start of permitted hours on the following day (or, if there are no permitted hours on the following day, midnight on 31st December).
The above restrictions do not prohibit the supply to, or consumption by, any person of alcohol in any premises where they are residing.

Club premises Alcohol shall not be sold or supplied unless it is paid for before or at the time when it is sold or supplied, except alcohol sold or supplied with and for consumption at a meal supplied at the same time, consumed with the meal and paid for together with the meal.
