Annex 2 - Conditions consistent with the Club operating Schedule
General
We are proactive in preventing and tackling crime and disorder and working with the council. As we have had no violence in the entire time the Polish Catholic Club has been at Chamber Road we are committed to keep this clean record. We employ experience management staff to run the bar with supervision at all times of opening from a committee member. We are fully committed to provide a safe and manageable environment for all staff and members to the club. We also are having a refurbishment of the windows to upvc, this will help limit any sound leakage. It is a club policy that we do not allow any children on the premises without an accompanying adult.
The prevention of crime and disorder
We have undertaken a review how crime and disorder effects the Polish club back in October 2004. We requested the help of the Oldham Crime and Disorder Team who helped us to obtain a grant for the installation of CCTV covering the grounds. We have a good management team in place who have proven they can work together. Our lighting of the grounds was also reviewed and we have adequate lighting for the CCTV and also it does not infringe on the surrounding residential properties. We do not tolerate violent and anti social behavior, our staff will request any member or guest to leave the premises if they show such behavior.
Public Safety
We have imposed a maximum number of persons (275) who are allowed onto the premises at any one time is to ensure the safety of those persons at the premises and to ensure a safe means of escape from fire. We have fitted relevant fire-fighting equipment, emergency lighting and an appropriate means of raising the fire alarm in the event of a fire. We have designated fire co-ordinators and also first-aid officers who are always present.
The prevention of public nuisance
We have had no call in relation to public nuisance regarding the club. Our premises have a new music system, which is installed, in the ideal position to minimize sound leakage outside of the premises. We do not have any facilities for providing entertainment outside of the building.
For premises where entertainment frequently takes place, music and associated sources (including DJs, and amplified voices) should generally not be audible inside noise sensitive property at any time. Where entertainment takes place less frequently, such noise should not be audible inside noise sensitive property between 23.00 and 07.00 hours.
The protection of children from harm
We do not admit children on the premises without their parent or guardian being present. All entertainment provided at the club is family orientated theme with no adult content. Our alarm system is monitored 24/7 by contact centre, we have in operation a panic code which will trigger a level 1 priority response by the local Police Authority.
All children should be accompanied and supervised by an adult whilst on the premises
All children under the age of 16 should be off the premises by 10:30pm at the very latest, save for private family functions held in a separate function room.
