Annex 2 - Conditions consistent with the Club operating Schedule
General
CCTV surveillance with exterior lighting monitors arrivals and departures at club main door and adjacent car parking area. Club management, steward and bar staff are informed of the Licensing Act 2003 objectives and statutory requirements to comply with all relevant provisions of the Act.
The Prevention of Crime and Disorder
Club constitution includes rules governing the conduct of members and their guests within and adjacent to club premises. Admission to the club is confined to members and bona fide guests and controlled through a computerized door entry system. Guests arriving unaccompanied are scrutenized via CCTV before admission and signing in by the host member. Club employees are instructed not to serve or admit members and guests who behave in a drunk or disorderly fashion. Misconduct is reported to the committee.
Public Safety
Signage is displayed near exit requesting members and guests to respect the needs of others. The club complies with Health & Safety and Fire Precautions Regulations. Following risk assessment preventive and controlled measures are in place to ensure the safety of members, guests, employees and entertainers whilst on the premises. The club complies with advised capacity limits. Fire action notices are posted, emergency escape routes are sign posted.
The prevention of public nuisance
Signage displayed near exits requesting members and guests to respect the needs of local residents by quietly leaving the premises. When live or recorded music is played, all reasonable steps are taken to avoid disturbance to neighboring properties.
All external doors and windows shall be kept closed when entertainment is being provided, other than for access and egress and in the event of an emergency. If additional ventilation is subsequently necessary, then it shall be attenuated in accordance with a scheme submitted to the licensing authority.
The protection of children from harm
Persons under 18 are only allowed in the club if accompanied by an adult member or bona fide guest. Young adults applying for membership must satisfy the committee that they are over 18. Committee members, steward and bar staff are instructed in the offence provisions of the Licensing Act 2003 relating to alcohol and the protection of children. Signage is posted at all bars prohibiting the indirect and direct supply or delivery of alcohol to children
Annex 4 - Embedded Conditions
Alcohol shall not be sold or supplied except during permitted hours.
In this condition, permitted hours means:
Club premises
f. On New Year’s Eve from the end of permitted hours on New Year’s Eve to the start of permitted hours on the following day (or, if there are no permitted hours on the following day, midnight on 31st December).
The above restrictions do not prohibit the supply to, or consumption by, any person of alcohol in any premises where they are residing.
S.166 LA 1964
Club premises Alcohol shall not be sold or supplied unless it is paid for before or at the time when it is sold or supplied, except alcohol sold or supplied with and for consumption at a meal supplied at the same time, consumed with the meal and paid for together with the meal.
