Annex 2 - Conditions consistent with the Club operating Schedule
General - all four licensing objectives
The club enforces a strict policy of not allowing alcohol to be purchased or consumed by anyone under the age of 18. We enforce club rules diligently which enforces standards of behaviour across the membership.
The prevention of crime and disorder
It is a private members club with photographic ID cards being implemented shortly. All members are subject to club rules which gives the management committee powers to refuse entry and all visitors are subject to club rules.
Public safety
We have fire detection systems, lighted emergency exits, disabled access. All fire alarms are tested and certified under 6 monthly contracts. External lighting to the premises and we have qualified first aiders.
The prevention of public nuisance
The club has a constitution and rules and regulations governing unacceptable behaviour and all disciplinary matters are dealt with by a management committee elected by the members.
For premises where entertainment frequently takes place, music and associated sources (including DJs, and amplified voices) should generally not be audible inside noise sensitive property at any time. Where entertainment takes place less frequently, such noise should not be audible inside noise sensitive property between 23.00 and 07.00 hours.
The licence holder or his representative shall conduct regular assessments of the noise coming from the premises on every occasion the premises are used for regulated entertainment and shall take steps to reduce the level of noise where it is likely to cause a disturbance to local residents. A written record shall be made of those assessments in a log book kept for that purpose and shall include, the time and date of the checks, the person making them and the results including any remedial action.
The protection of children from harm
The club constitution has adopted ECB safe hands policy and has appointed a club welfare officer.
Annex 4 - Embedded Conditions
Alcohol shall not be sold or supplied except during permitted hours.
In this condition, permitted hours means:
Club premises
f. On New Year’s Eve from the end of permitted hours on New Year’s Eve to the start of permitted hours on the following day (or, if there are no permitted hours on the following day, midnight on 31st December).
The above restrictions do not prohibit the supply to, or consumption by, any person of alcohol in any premises where they are residing.
S.166 LA 1964
Club premises Alcohol shall not be sold or supplied unless it is paid for before or at the time when it is sold or supplied, except alcohol sold or supplied with and for consumption at a meal supplied at the same time, consumed with the meal and paid for together with the meal.
