Annex 2 - Conditions consistent with the Club operating Schedule
General
The premises are run very strictly, in adherence to the Club rules, with a view to maintaining an orderly, well run and distinguished Club. The Club House is well away from any residential areas, and has always been careful to ensure that no disruption is caused in the locality to neighbors, members attending the Club, and their guests. The variations sought are intended to enhance the membership of the Club, and will be used entirely within the discretion of the Committee, at all times treating safety and disorder as their priority.
The prevention of crime and disorder
The Club has never had any incidents of crime or disorder arising from the way it is run, or the behavior of any of its members and guests on the premises, or leaving or arriving at the premises. Members can only enter the Club House by use of a pass system and door entry systems to private areas. The rules of the Club demand a very high standard of behavior from all those using its facilities, and anyone fund breaching the rules the rules in any way, is immediately asked to leave. Should the member commit a serious breach, his or her membership will be reviewed.
Public Safety
The safety of members and their guests is paramount in the running of the Club, which has the necessary Public Liability Insurance to cover any accidents. Members of the public are not admitted to the premises, except as guests of a member.
The prevention of public nuisance
Car parking facilities for all members and guests are within the Club grounds. Owing to the distance of the Club house and car park from the nearest house, no disturbance is caused by car doors or general noise as members and guests go to their cars. Any events involving live music will have concluded by midnight at the latest, and again, noise from the premises will not travel the distance to the residential areas.
The protection of children from harm
Junior members (aged 9-16) are only allowed in a specific part of the club house, known as the “Television area”. Similarly for Student members (16-18). All members, of whatever age, are required to use a membership card when purchasing drinks from the bar. The card is swiped by the bar staff, and shows the level of memberships (and age, where appropriate) of the member. All bar staff are trained to ask for proof of age for any member or guest wishing to purchase alcohol where there is any doubt about their age.
