Annex 1 - Mandatory conditions
20 Mandatory condition: exhibition of films
(1) Where a club premises certificate authorises the exhibition of films, the licence must include a condition requiring the admission of children to the exhibition of any film to be restricted in accordance with this section.
(2) Where the film classification body is specified in the licence, unless subsection (3)(b) applies, admission of children must be restricted in accordance with any recommendation made by that body.
(3) Where -
(a) the film classification body is not specified in the licence, or
(b) the relevant licensing authority has notified the holder of the licence that this subsection applies to the film in question,
admission of children must be restricted in accordance with any recommendation made by that licensing authority.
(4) In this section -
“children” means persons aged under 18; and
“film classification body” means the person or persons designated as the authority under section 4 of the Video Recordings Act 1984 (c. 39) (authority to determine suitability of video works for classification).
Annex 2 - Conditions consistent with the Club operating Schedule
General - all four licensing objectives
At the monthly council meeting an added agenda to be introduced :- To discuss and implement where required and of the four licensing objectives.
The prevention of crime and disorder
Security shutters fitted to the bar and gaming machine. Security alarm with panic alarm fitted to club house with direct contact to central controlled centre (ADT). Outer doors only accessible by coded entry. Bye-laws of the club cover any misbehaviour by members and their guests.
Public safety
All means of escape routes are kept unobstructed. Fire extinguishers are sited around the premises and kept in good order (serviced annually). Security exit lights continually maintained and replaced where required.
The prevention of public nuisance
Notices displayed requesting members to be as quiet as possible when leaving the premises. Monitoring of noise on the outside of the premises on social occasions.
All external doors and windows shall be kept closed when entertainment is being provided, other than for access and egress and in the event of an emergency. If additional ventilation is subsequently necessary, then it shall be attenuated in accordance with a scheme submitted to the licensing authority.
The protection of children from harm
No child under the age of 18 years is supplied with alcohol or allowed to use the gambling machine (signposted). Junior members up to the age of 18 are not allowed the use of the club house, except for the purpose of refreshment up to 9.00pm, unless otherwise notified on the Juniors notice board. Children accompanied by a responsible adult will have access to the club house on such occasions and time determined by the council.
