Annex 2 - Conditions consistent with the Operating Schedule
General
A vast majority of customers that use our shop are very well behaved. It is a well-run business. We intend to take all steps necessary to promote the following objectives, in as far as it is reasonable on our part.
The prevention of crime and disorder
We have roller shutters at the front of our shop and they are always in use outside opening hours. All our customers are treated with courtesy and respect, and they do not normally cause any problems. In the event of any serious trouble the Police will be called.
Public Safety
Non-slip floor surfaces are provided for customers and staff. Warning signs are clearly displayed on any hot surfaces. Seating is available for elderly and disabled people as well as other children.
The prevention of public nuisance
Noise from the shop will be kept to a minimum. All waste materials will be properly disposed of. Smells will be kept to a minimum.
There shall be provided at the premises containers for the storage and disposal of waste food and other refuse from the premises. Those containers shall be constructed, maintained and located/secured so that access to them by vermin and unauthorized persons is prevented and arrangements made for the regular disposal of their contents in accordance with the duty of care provisions (Section 34) of the Environmental Protection Act 1990.
Where the premises provide food to the public for consumption on or off the premises, there shall be provided outside the premises, at or near the exits, sufficient waste bins to enable the disposal of waste food, food containers, wrappings and other litter.
Where the premises provide food for consumption off the premises, the public area outside and adjacent to the premises shall be cleared of waste food, food containers, wrappings and other litter which originated from the premises.
The protection of children from harm
The shop staff are always welcoming young children and they are looked after with particular care and courtesy. Any hot surfaces will be clearly marked and forewarned of, and placed in a position as to be out of the reach of the very young.
No unaccompanied children under the age of 16 should be served after 9:30pm.
