Annex 2 - Conditions consistent with the Operating Schedule
General - all four licensing objectives
Our shop premise use CCTV, bright lights in and out of the shop, and have no furniture. With this and well-mannered and helpful trained staff, we provide a friendly and safe environment for the customer. A public bin is outside the shop for any rubbish. The shop and windows are always clean and tidy. Good relations with local residents and police will secure any disorder around.
The prevention of crime and disorder
Currently using CCTV on the shop premises, it is recording whilst the shop is open. Any disorder on or around will be turned away and reported to the police. The customers will see CCTV in use.
Public safety
Shop premises has no objects hanging from the ceilings, and there is a public bin outside the shop to keep rubbish in its’ place. Rubber mats are on the floor to prevent slipping, the windows in the shop are always clean and clear. The shop lights are always bright, and the shop sign also shines down to assure people that it is safe and bright.
The prevention of public nuisance
Plenty of bright light in and around the shop whilst open can help us see people. Our staff are trained to be well mannered at all times. CCTV is always in use and can be clearly seen by customers. We only employ local people, this helps relationships with local residents around.
There shall be no emission from the premises of any offensive smells, which are likely to cause a nuisance.
Where there are any offensive smells created on the premises, provision shall be made for such smells to be vented from the premises so that they do not cause a nuisance to nearby premises.
There shall be provided at the premises containers for the storage and disposal of waste foods and other refuse from the premises. Those containers shall be constructed, maintained and located /secured so that access to them by vermin and unauthorised persons is prevented and arrangements made for the regular disposal of their contents in accordance with the duty of care provisions (Section 34) of the Environmental Protection Act 1990.
Where the premises provides food to the public for consumption on or off the premises, there shall be provided outside the premises, at or near the exits, sufficient waste bins to enable the disposal of waste food, food containers, wrappings and other litter.
Where the premises provide food for consumption off the premises, the public area outside and adjacent to the premises shall be cleared of waste food, food containers, wrappings and other litter which originated from the premises.
The protection of children from harm
No chairs or tables so children cannot climb. Staff are trained to be polite, helpful and watchful of all customers, therefore knowing extra attention for children. Bright lights in and around the shop premises help people and children to see where they are going.
